'The Days of Dawn' is a collection of stories about a child named Maddy. Throughout the book Maddy runs into various troubles and problems. Sometimes because of his curiosity and sometimes because of his childishness. But ultimately the problems are resolved giving Maddy a great lesson. He is helped many a times by his friend Krishna. Whether be it advising him for correcting his wrongdoings or bringing out the truth in front of Saheb, Javed and Ragini Mam; Krishna is always with Maddy guiding him to the right path. Krishna is an epitome of true friendship. Maddy also gets various advises of life from his mother as well as his maternal uncle. Even his dreams are a source of his 'Dawn'.
