Some extracts from the book:

“Outside the window there was freedom, freedom of everything, freedom from everything and freedom for everything. The birds could fly wherever they want. The plants could grow wherever they want. No one was there to stop them. Yet they didn’t boast of their power. But man was not so. God gave him the best freedom-a powerful brain that can think whatever it wants. But he boasts of it everywhere. He destroys other’s freedom in the disguise of his own freedom. He hurts others in his desire for freedom. He tells truths and lies to maintain his freedom.”

...from "Truth & Lies" of "The Days of Dawn"

"That recess not only made him realize his true friend but also instilled a spirit of courage, boldness and a spirit to fight against the wrong."

....from "The Recess" of "The Days of Dawn"

Article - Success

Everyone wants to be successful in his life. But the stigma of failure sticks to many persons. Mostly people associate success with money. Yes, Money is an important aspect of success as the whole economy runs on money. Today, no one really cares about you if you have no money.

Yet what is more important for success is satisfaction. You may argue that it sounds contradictory. If one is satisfied then how would one grow in his life? But that’s not so. Satisfaction doesn’t mean to remain with what you have. Satisfaction means to remain with what you must have. If you just madly go behind something that has got no end, you will be wandering like a nomad on the vast Earth. So think what is necessary for you. What you must have with you? What should be the purpose of your life? With what “keyword” do people remember you after your death? When you do this money will automatically come.

Remember fame is more precious than money.

I have coined an equation for you all to explain what success requires.

Success = Courage + Correct knowledge

These are at the heart of success. You must have the courage to risk to achieve success. Without courage you will fear and fear won’t allow you to imagine a creative idea and without it you are nowhere in successful world.

And correct knowledge is very important. You may have the courage to face a lion but if you don’t have knowledge to ascertain your safety then your being courageous is futile.

Now we have understood what we require for success but how to ensure it?

USE PLANNING AND CONTROL!

A person who cannot plan can’t predict future and if you can’t predict your future you can’t make it better. So planning is necessary. Some think planning is to be seen in big corporate decisions.  But planning is such a common task that you do it every day. Driving, Talking, and Studying and so on… All these tasks are planned. A task planned properly is more probable of being successful than an unplanned task.

While planning, accept all problems as given and try to find a solution for them. You are no one who can change the external circumstances, so change yourself. Modify your plan and keep it flexible so that you can accommodate new things in it. Think every possibility and the best way to cope up with uncertainty is to keep cushion. Cushion can be of anything- extra time, extra backups and so on… Greater the cushion, less are the chances that you fail.

Next thing is control. Once you have planned, you put it in action and you get some results. Some results may make you happy while some depress you. But remember these are mere the start and don’t decide your future. Just think why you achieved such a result. Ponder upon both favourable and unfavourable results. Some people don’t analyse their success and thus end up their potential. If you know how you got success then you can do more of that and improve it and gain more success. Also, failure needs a deeper assessment. Think what could have made your plan to fail. Constitute it as a problem and develop plan to solve it.
Thus, planning and control and help you achieve many things easily and swiftly in your life.

Lastly what matters most in success is CHOICE!

You have many alternatives and all sound better than other. This will confuse you as to decide what option to market upon. I have an idea for coping up with this problem.

It’s Compare and Analyse!

Make an exhaustive list of all options and their pros and cons. Then compare them with each other- some by mathematical formulas, some by abstract knowledge and some by intuition. After you have done this list out at least three options in priority order. Make a plan such that you can shift among these options anytime you want. This will help you have wider flexibility and low risk at the same time.

The last advice I want to give you is,
“Never depend on a single solution for a problem. Give yourself at least three options and never give up trying them all.”

THANK YOU.

Article - English: A language or A status symbol?

Recently I watched the film “Hindi Medium” and the first feeling I had after seeing it was that really the mentality of the society has degraded. Why the society has created a difference between the children who study in so called “best” schools and other schools? Do they think that only a best school can give rise to talent? No. Talent arises from within. If one is talented he will himself shine. No one can stop them except this unnecessary hatred and continuous ignorance.

These days the schools have become business hubs luring other children towards them in the name of either their past achievers or unnecessary facilities. Education does not merely mean having AC classrooms and well-furnished libraries. Education means development of our knowledge and enlightenment of our personality. No doubt amenities and other facilities provide a good environment but they should not just become the base of selecting the “best”.

Dear Diary - The Republic Day Parade

National Flag at Rajiv Chowk

10th January 2017

It was around 11 A.M. when my phone ranged. It was the call from the school. They informed me about the invitation to witness the Republic Day parade that came for me to them from the Government of India. I was overjoyed. It felt as if I was so lucky that I could witness such grandeur.
I informed my parents immediately about the invitation. They too were very happy. Then I went to the school to collect the necessary documents sent by the government. It included an invitation letter, a consent letter and other instructions.

11th January 2017 - 23rd January 2017

I filled all the necessary details and mailed the consent letter and other documents as prescribed. Then I got a railway ticket booked to New Delhi. The verification with the police commissioner was also complete. All was set to witness the grandeur.

24th January 2017

In the night at around 10:00 P.M. , my most awaited journey started. I was in Three-tier AC coach speedily heading towards New Delhi in Rajdhani Express. I was more excited because it was the first time I would go to New Delhi on my own. I had gone on a tour once with my parents.

25th January 2017

My train arrived New Delhi at around 11:00 A.M. in the morning. One of my friend, Raunak, who was studying in Delhi came to receive me on the station. Then we both went to the Rajiv Chowk Metro station through Delhi Metro. It was an awesome experience. It felt as if I had been in a highly developed country. From there he went to his P.G. and I booked a cab to Hotel "The Janpath" where my lodging arrangements were made by the government.

It was a  nice hotel with a majestic entrance. I registered myself with the authorities present there and was allotted room along with Alam Khan, my room mate. He was from Manipur. The authorities gave me some documents which included food coupons and instructions and others.

When I went to the room it was empty. I thought that Alam would come later. So I kept my luggage in the cupboard and went to take a bath. The room was awesome. It had two Single-beds and wooden flooring, U-shaped sofa, a huge T.V. and various lamps and all controlled by a remote installed between the two beds.

After about one hour Alam came along with his principal.
